I turned on the computer and nothing happened. The internet had been dead for 10 years. Fast but dead.

It’s gone from a digital promised land to a desolate 2D tumbleweed garage. I’ve not even needed to upgrade my laptop for more than two years. It’s just a browser with keys.

Something’s afoot. Lightspeeding the mundane.

The ideological ARPA overwatch distracted. The finger on the reality switch just twitched.

Digital culture had buried itself under pop-up adverts, self-improvement life hacks, opt-out for opt-in data traps.

Well, it looks as if the grave diggers built tunnels. Fiber optic subsidence just dropped the old casket two steps closer to hell.

Truth now sits in the caves of a ground-dug data center, smoking its last fingerprint file.

Light nodes twitch, laughter in cyber Morse.

Up to the surface and the meat suits are flexing. Something’s burning, and it might not be our damaged synapses.
